Envie Review

Envie Lingerie is a family run online retailer specialising in small back, large cup bra sizes. They have been in business for 14 years and stock well know brands such as Panache and Wonderbra. I have come across this website in that past, in fact if you Google search "Small back large cup bras" it appears at the top of the list of results. As far as I know it is the biggest (if not the only) online retailer specialising in the awkward sizes. Along with your average bra, they also sell bra sized swimwear, maternity and nursing bras, basques, corsets and sports bras.

Having said all of this, a general search for products in a 28FF brings me to a search results page of just 10 products, 4 of which are sports bras. In a slightly easier to find 32GG I found 29 results but again this was mostly swimwear or maternity/nursing bras.

A lovely idea of a specialist retailer however I don't feel they are quite meeting the needs of myself and many other women in my position. The bras which were available such as the Panache Tango line are widely available in many other retailers and unfortunately the search for a solution continues!

Freya's Deco Moulded Plunge Bra Review

Freya is one of my favourite brands and their products are available at Debenhams, House of Fraser and of course Bravissimo as well as smaller independent retailers.

The review is on the new Deco Moulded Plunge Bra from Freya which I fell in love with immediately. In a 28 back it is available up tp a G cup and back size 30+ go up to a GG.

This Bra does have a slightly generous cup so I'd recommend you go down a cup size.

The seam-free moulded cup design allows you to wear this as an everyday T-Shirt Bra, whilst the plunge shape gives and amazing cleavage so it's perfect for lower cut tops too.

Its available in five different colours at Bravissimo and Debenhams have it in black or red. You may find it hard to get it in the colour you want in your size, in store my size was only available in black or red, but if you've found the perfect fit in store you could always order your different colours online.

Prices start at around £30 and I'd give this Bra 8/10 for comfort, fit, and style.

Boux Avenue Review

My first review will be on lingerie store Boux Avenue. This is quite a new retailer, they launched last spring and currently have eight retail stores in the UK. I have visited their store in The Trafford Centre, Manchester however I will do this review based on what I found on the website as it is far more accessible.

So more about Boux Avenue!...

First of all their sizes start at a 30 back so no 28s I'm afraid. Their cup sizes go up to a H cup, even in a 30 back which sounds great. Looking through their website however using the size selection tool I discovered that a grand total of five bras are available in a 30H all of which are quite similar to this...

Black Brodie Embroidered Full Support Plunge Bra. Model wears 34DD. BouxAvenue.com
Admittedly it is a nice simple bra for everyday wear. It features lovely embroidery with a bow detail on the centre front. The straps are slightly wider than smaller cup which helps to avoid pressure lines. I have tried this bra on in store (in my size 32FF) and I found it to be rather comfortable.

For me, the downside of this bra is the fit. It is labelled as a plunge bra but as you can see in the picture above it doesn't do wonders for your cleavage so I wouldn't recommend it for lower cut tops if you're into a close, uplifted and full looking cleavage.

It is reasonably priced at £24 and is available with a matching thong for £8 or brief for £10.

Here are few few other options they have available in back sizes 30+ up to a G cup.

Chloe Lace Plunge Bra. Model wear 32E. £18. BouxAvenue.com

Chloe Lace Balconette Bra. Model Wear 32E. £18. BouxAvenue.com
I think its quite a nice selection of pretty bras, there aren't many option for something sexy or a bit more special. They do have a selection of Basques and Strapless bras but not many for us SBLC ladies.

So as the hunt for the perfect bra continues stay tuned for my from the Small Back Large Cup blog!

Small Back Large Cup

Welcome!

Please join me in welcoming this new blog into the world wide web. Small Back Large Cup, (which henceforth shall be abbreviated as SBLC), is a blog for ladies who have a large bust but quite a small frame. I myself currently wear anything from a 28GG to a 32FF depending on the bra style, cut, fit and manufacturer.

If your like me and have a small back size (26-32) and are DD+ then I'm sure you too have endured many long, frustrating hours shopping for bras with no success.

For me the main problem is lack of choice. Whenever I do discover a store which stocks my size, the specific styles that I like either don't come in my size or have sold out, leaving me with a small selection of bras not even my grandmother would wear. I'm 20 years old and would love to wear the stylish sexy underwear my friends wear but unfortunately this is not an option for me.

I have worked as a sales assistant at two of the leading lingerie retailers here in the UK so I do have some knowledge of lingerie, however I am not a great journalist so bear with me, I'm still learning :)

I have many plans for the SBLC blog so stay tuned for reviews on stores, brands, and styles as well as tips on bra fittings and so much more. Subscribe to receive notifications and if you have the same problem get in touch, I'd love to hear your views too.

I should probably reiterate that I am based in the UK so perhaps its different in the states or in other countries; I don't know. If you are outside of the UK and face the same problems please email me! smallbacklargecup@gmail.com.
